The suite ‘Pictures at an/this Exhibition’, with an allusion to Mussorgski, transposes into music (by using ekphrasis) the impression left on the composer by the paintings of Tudor Marinescu and illustrates the relationship of the pianist to painting, color and visual elements in music.
